What is the Shenmen piercing good for?

Not everyone notices the effects of the Shenmen piercing, which are based on individual experiences, in the same way; according to many people, it may help reduce stress and improve emotional stability. So the Shenmen piercing may appeal not only because of its aesthetic value – many people also hope it will support their energy and inner balance.

Stay with me, and in this article you will find out what the Shenmen piercing is and where it is placed, and also in which cases the Shenmen piercing has brought positive change for our guests. At the end of the article I have also collected some reviews for you. Enjoy reading!

So what is the Shenmen piercing?

The Shenmen point comes from ancient Chinese medicine and supports energetic balance and inner harmony. The Shenmen piercing is an earring that is placed in the upper part of the outer ear, that is, on this point called “Shenmen”.

As piercings and body jewellery keep growing in popularity, the Shenmen piercing is also increasingly becoming the focus of interest.

After all this, the most important question is: what is the Shenmen piercing good for? Let’s look at this in the next section!

What is the Shenmen piercing good for?

So the most important question: what is the Shenmen piercing good for?

People who already have a Shenmen piercing have reported the following:

  • their pain decreased / went away
  • they found it much easier to face more difficult situations
  • they got over stress-related tension more quickly
  • their everyday life was marked by a happier sense of wellbeing

According to our guests, the Shenmen piercing helped them with the following problems:

  • depression / mood swings
  • headaches, migraine
  • addiction
  • sleep problems
  • allergy
  • tinnitus
  • chronic stress
  • joint pain

It is important to note that individual experiences may vary, and not everyone responds in the same way to wearing a Shenmen piercing. Some feel its effects, while for others the effect is less noticeable. It is always important to be aware that these effects depend on individual sensitivity and on how the person’s body reacts, and in my experience, another piercing may sometimes be needed to achieve a positive result.

The effects of the Shenmen piercing

The effects of the Shenmen piercing depend on the individual’s unique response, and not everyone experiences the same effects or at the same speed. Some of our guests may feel a change or relief immediately after starting to wear it, while others needed more time to notice the changes.

A significant proportion of our guests, 93%, reported that the piercing had a positive effect on them, and they were happy to share this with us.

The effects of the piercing may differ from person to person, and many factors can influence them, for example the person’s physical reactions, emotional state and lifestyle.

How much does a Shenmen piercing hurt?

So now we know what the Shenmen piercing is good for; next comes the second most common question: how much does it hurt?

The level of pain when a Shenmen piercing is placed can vary depending on the individual sensitivity of the ear and the person’s pain threshold. In general, a piercing in the upper part of the ear may involve less painthan, for example, piercing through a cartilage area.

The Shenmen piercing it should be placed by an experienced, properly trained specialistwho works precisely, in a sterile environment and with sterile instruments. It is important that the piercing is carried out in professional conditions, with thorough preparation and the right technique.

However, everyone may feel the pain of the piercing differently. Some feel only slight pressure or discomfort, while for others the pain may be more intense. This kind of pain usually lasts only a short time and fades quickly after the piercing.

However, it is important to look after the piercing properly, follow the aftercare instructions and keep an eye on the condition of the ear in order to avoid infections or other complications. If someone is worried about the pain, it is worth discussing the process and the possible ways of relieving pain with the specialist doing the piercing beforehand. I offer the chance to do this during the preliminary assessment.

Shenmen piercing reviews – this is the message from people who already have one!

It is easy to write an objective summary of what the Shenmen piercing is good for. But what do people’s experiences say? How effective is it? Let’s see my guests’ reviews!

Shenmen piercing for anxiety

I have always been an anxious type, ever since I was a child. I was stressed mainly about my performance at school, and later, in the world of work, I felt this anxiety from the pressure to live up to expectations every day. Luckily I ended up with Gabi, who did my Shenmen piercing about 3 weeks ago, and since then my everyday life has completely changed. I go into work much more relaxed, and I don’t get stressed in unusual situations either.

Patience pays off

It really does take 2 weeks before you feel the effect of the Shenmen piercing, but it is worth the wait, and worth the tiny discomfort you feel during the piercing! I am much calmer and more balanced, and my body aches less here and there.

What else is the Shenmen piercing good for? Headaches!

First I had a migraine piercing, but somehow it didn’t bring the result I had hoped for. Then about 2 weeks later I went back to Medical Piercing, and they suggested the Shenmen as well. I agreed, because I didn’t want to take any more medication. I can say I absolutely don’t regret it! I am grateful that I didn’t give up, and thank you, Gabi, for your patience! I can only recommend it, especially the two together!

Our wellbeing piercings do not count as a cure and do not replace medical treatment; the description of their effectiveness is based on our guests’ feedback.

* The total number of piercings was higher than this. The statistic is not official. The piercing is not an officially recognised therapeutic device but a wellbeing piece of jewellery, whose effectiveness is based on experience and feedback.
