Types of migraine piercing jewellery – which can I choose from?
As with most jewellery, there is a huge choice of migraine piercings. At the studio you can currently choose from several hundred types of jewellery, but there are some things worth knowing beforehand!
What is migraine piercing jewellery good for?
Migraine piercing jewellery has already helped thousands of our guests, not only with the headache in its name. Among those who came to us, this small device, which can also be worn as body jewellery, also eased the following headaches:
· tension
· cluster
· hormonal (premenstrual)
· weather-sensitive
I have summarised the types of headache in detail in this article.
The migraine piercing jewellery is pierced into a special point in the ear, which requires accuracy and precision.

What effects did migraine piercing have for our guests?
According to our guests, migraine piercing jewellery significantly reduced the intensity and frequency of headaches, and thanks to its calming, stress-reducing effect their anxiety eased.
I have observed that for some guests the migraine piercing alone was not enough; they also needed a Shenmen piercing as well, about which I also received feedback that it was pain-relieving, and eased anxiety and the symptoms of depression.
A study carried out by the London Migraine Clinic examined people with migraine who had received a Daith piercing.
The results of the study are as follows:
· 75% of the participants state that after the piercing was placed their headaches eased significantly or went away completely
· 82% of those with the piercing are completely satisfied
· only 11% reported that they did not notice a significant change after the piercing
According to the doctors who carried out the study, Dr Chris Blatchley and Professor Arnold Wilkins, this procedure puts less strain on the body than constant use of medication, and if the piercing is done by the right specialist, the rate of positive results may be even higher.
How much does the migraine piercing cost?
At Medical Piercing the price of the migraine piercing is only 24,900 Forints.
This price includes:
- assessment, device-assisted point location
- immediate placement of the piercing
- piercing made of medical-grade metal, sterilised in an autoclave
- guarantee
- guest follow-up, feedback
- access to our Facebook migraine group
- regular information about what you need to know about the piercing
How is migraine piercing jewellery placed?
At Medical Piercing, when you arrive at the practice, first of all I carry out an assessment before placing the migraine piercing. I examine the condition of your ear, ask you about your complaints and take your medical history too.
After this, based on device-assisted point location, I determine the exact position of the migraine piercing on your ear.
The piercings used in the studio are all made of medical metal, which I sterilised in an autoclave before placement.
The piercing takes only a few moments, during which you may feel an unpleasant sensation like an insect bite, but this sensation passes once the piercing made of medical-grade metal has been inserted.

After the piercing we chat for a few more minutes, meanwhile I check that everything is fine, then I let you go home with your guarantee card. Even after that, I don’t leave you on your own, because you will regularly receive e-mails with important advice about using and caring for the migraine piercing, and you can join our Facebook migraine group, where you can also get answers to any questions that come up.
I think follow-up with my guests is important, which is exactly why after 2 weeks I ask you for feedback on how you have been feeling since the piercing was placed, whether you have noticed any improvement and, if so, what; if not, we arrange a new appointment under the guarantee.
What type of migraine piercing jewellery do I get after the piercing?
A sterile procedure and complication-free wound healing are ensured: after the piercing migraine piercing jewellery made of autoclave-sterilised medical metal is placed. This is also a big plus as far as allergies are concerned, because if you are sensitive to a metal, this prevents inflammation developing at the piercing site.
A full healing period (minimum 8–12 weeks) must pass before it can be removed, and exchanged for migraine piercing jewellery that you like.
What should you know about the types of migraine piercing jewellery?
There are many types of migraine piercing jewellery on the market, but it is important for me to note that you should always use quality jewellery, to avoid irritation and to keep this acupuncture point healthy.
With us, exclusively high-quality medical metal, G23 titanium is used for the jewellery.
Based on shape you can also decide whether you like flat-back, hoop or ball-end jewellery.
Further decorations are also up to individual taste. At the studio you can also find jewellery with stones, dangling pieces or ones with a shape (e.g. a drop).
Where can I get migraine piercing jewellery?
At the Medical Piercing studio you can choose from many types of migraine piercing jewellery, which you can buy and then collect when you come to us – what’s more, we will change it for you on the spot.
Our wellbeing piercings do not count as a cure and do not replace medical treatment; the description of their effectiveness is based on our guests’ feedback.
Would you, like me, give migraine piercing a chance? Come along, I look forward to welcoming you!
